IBPAP mulls Roadmap 2028

As the industry is looking into the next phase, Untal cited the current pandemic situation that has forced the industry to operate mostly on work from home (WFH) arrangement. The Philippine Economic Zone Authority has allowed them to work as much as 90 percent of their capacity on WFH mode, but this concession will end mid September this year.

PEZA-approved investment pledges up 8% in Jan-June

PEZA Director General Charito Plaza said investment pledges during the period amounted to P32.057 billion, up from the P29.541 billion approved in the same period last year.
These investments came from 119 new and expansion projects, up by 5.31 percent compared to the 113 approved in 2020.

BPO workers in QC receive COVID jab

The Quezon City government has started the inoculation of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) employees on July 21 at SM City North EDSA Skydome.

“We signed a memorandum of agreement stipulating our collaborative effort to facilitate and expedite the vaccination process of their employees. We’re happy to have finally gotten the ball rolling given the fresh vaccine supply we recently received from the national government,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said.
